Bikeshow Groningen 2007.

This morning we suited the action by the word according to the attention to visit the bikeshow in Groningen. From time to time we had a downpour and looking at the site of buienradar there wouldn't be any change in the weather untill noon. So we decided to go by car.

How foolish...
Parking the car near the building of Gasunie, means a short walk. Just before the pedestrian tunnel I dropped a word synonymous to droppings. I had forgotten my camera. It's still in my handbag and I thought that if I had my mobile phone, my wallet and something to smoke, I would be OK for the day. Just wearing my bodywarmer and no dragging around with a handbag was my device this morning. So all I had was the camera in my mobile phone. I must say, the quality is dreadful.

Not much frequented...
By ten-thirty there was a short queue to purchase a ticket, but that didn't take long. I maybe walked 10 metres on the show, when I ran into the first forum-member: "Dokker". We had not met before, but he recognised me from a picture on my website. So we talked for a while. A little while further I ran into "de Noorman", of the Shadow bikerclub. I'm still a member and so we had a subject of discussion. Met some members of different bikerclubs. That's what you get, when a show is in the area. In the stand of Italian bikes, I pointed the Moto Guzzi Griso out to Roel. The one I'm secretly in love with. He could see why, because he liked the looks as well. At the stand of the streetfighters, there were some bikes with special paint. One of them had the fueltank and the tail covered in roses, very rare.

Another old one...
Many brochures were handed out, lots with bike-trips. Well, it always gives you ideas as where to go the next year. The show wasn't much frequented untill noon. Enough space to have a good look around. I must tell you, that we had seen everything on the show in an hour and a half. When leaving the show, we visited "Dokker" once more, just to say goodbye. In the hall there were three long queues of people that wanted to buy tickets. Just outside the building we saw a pensioned Moto Guzzi, that had a carreer in Italy as a police-bike. Between all these people wanting to get in the building, I menaged to make a few pics of this bike.
